It was a treat to find myself photographing in the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside recently at Shellie and Simon’s spring wedding. Their wedding took place in a barn and hay bales served as both seating, tables and moveable walls as the day unfolded. Shellie had clearly worked her magic and had transformed the working barn into a beautiful and quirky and uniquely English venue to celebrate the start of married life. The guests both local and international had come suitably prepared for the very changeable weather and wellies and warm jackets were the order of the day. The ceremony was performed in front of family and friends by the couple’s good friend Diana who had flown in from Madrid to be with them. The speeches produced much laughter and a few tears. As the evening continued, guests kept warm quite suitably with barn dancing or by the by the bonfire overlooking the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside. Wonderful music and so many personal touches (including the ice-cream van that got stuck in the mud needing rescuing by the wedding parties finest muscle!) made this very personal wedding a day to remember.  These are some of my favourites from the day – I hope you enjoy them.
